Etsh is a terminal emulator for macOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data Etsh collects (spoiler: almost nothing).
We do not collect any personal data. Etsh runs entirely on your local machine. Your commands, shell history, and terminal output never leave your device.
Etsh does not connect to the internet. Any network activity you see is from commands you run in the terminal (like curl, ssh, git, etc.), not from Etsh itself.
Etsh includes optional Homebrew integration. When you use this feature, Etsh runs local Homebrew commands. Any network requests are made by Homebrew itself, not Etsh.
Etsh stores preferences locally on your machine using macOS UserDefaults. This includes settings like font size, theme, and cursor style. This data never leaves your device.
Etsh does not include any analytics, telemetry, or tracking. We don't know how many people use Etsh or how they use it.
Etsh does not share any data with third parties because we don't collect any data to share.
Etsh does not auto-update. You control when and if you download new versions.
